Special-event permits on supervisors’ agenda 0 comments

Next Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting will find Calaveras County supervisors recognizing the eighth annual Calaveras County Kindness Week, running Monday, Feb. 11, until Sunday, Feb. 17.

Blue ribbons will be distributed throughout the county by government and educational organizations. The ribbons act as a visual reminder to carry out random acts of kindness all week long.

At 9:30 a.m., the Planning Department will re-introduce a county noise ordinance, amended from the supervisors’ Jan. 22, meeting to include the provision of a mandatory 24-hour contact person for Lake Tulloch vacation-rental owners living within 60 miles of the lake who would be available to be called should tenants get too unruly.

The passage of an official zoning amendment related to special events, temporary use permits and other zoning regulations will also make an appearance on the day’s agenda.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas.
