Calaveras County Democrats Announce District 2 Supervisor Candidates Forum
Tuesday, January 9, 2024
January 5, 2024 – San Andreas, Calaveras County, California – The Calaveras County Democrats will
present a special District 2 Supervisor Candidates Forum on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 5:30 pm, at the San Andreas Public Library.
Whether or not you live in District 2, the composition of the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors is critically important to all County residents. Who would YOU like to see succeed retiring Supervisor Jack Garamendi?

MEET THE DISTRICT 2 CANDIDATES
● Autumn Andahl

Autumn is a third generation D2 resident and alumni of both Rail Road Flat Elementary School
and Calaveras High School. During her campaign she plans to listen to the needs, values, traditions, and concerns of the community. Once elected she will work to ensure that these are honored and acknowledged! She will support our Sheriff’s Department and First Responders and support Calaveras County in its economic growth.

Sheryl lives in Wilseyville with her horse, Ruby, a goat named Gus, 4 chickens and a cowboy husband
named Wiley. They are all herded around by a spazzy border collie named Roux. Sheryl believes that in
today’s polarizing, chaotic world of politics, it is more important than ever that we focus on building
strong local governments that truly represent those things that matter to us most.

Michelle’s guiding principles are fiscal responsibility, transparent governance, strategic planning, public
safety, and representative advocacy. Her significant governance experience includes serving as a
Director for the San Andreas Sanitary District since her election in 2011. She also served on the Habitat
for Humanity – Calaveras board for two years, the Calaveras Youth Organization board for three years.
She is the Deputy Air Pollution Control Officer for the Calaveras County Air Pollution Control District,
and earlier, worked in both Administration and Information Technology in Calaveras County

Trevor and his wife Asella grew up in District 2. They met in high school, and have been together ever
since. Both their parents also live in District 2 where they are active in the local community. Trevor will
work with the community to develop concrete solutions to issues facing local residents. As supervisor,
he will develop collaborative relationships and will work to meet the day-to-day needs of the community
to ensure that the County is providing the necessary services for District 2 residents.
