New Riparian Restoration Connection Website Offers Funding & Training Opportunities!

The Tamarisk Coalition,a non-profit alliance working to restore riparian lands, is excited to announce the launch of a new website called the Riparian Restoration Connection (RRC) http://www.riparianrestorationconnection.com/. This new resource has been created to help connect the riparian restoration community in the West to funding opportunities, trainings, conferences, events, and other educational opportunities specifically relevant to invasive species management and riparian restoration efforts in the region.

What’s different about this website? In addition to encouraging self-posting of trainings, events, and funding opportunities by those in the riparian restoration community, we also spend time actively seeking out such opportunities at the local, state, and national levels. The original impetus for this website were the voices of our partners, who felt that too often workshops and training opportunities were only advertised in select small circles, or in the case of ‘grassroots’ training opportunities, sometimes barely advertised at all.

With this in mind, our goal for this website is to create a central hub for the riparian restoration community to exchange resources, share ideas, ask questions, and get the information needed to help facilitate riparian restoration efforts!

We need your help in spreading the word about the Riparian Restoration Connection and providing us with feedback about any improvements you feel could make this resource more useful!
