Road Impact Mitigation (RIM) Fee Increase

The RIM Fee Program funds transportation improvements required to mitigate the cumulative traffic impacts of new development. Notice is hereby given that increasing the RIM fee will be considered at a public hearing pursuant to Government Code Section 66001 and Calaveras County Code Section 12.10.090(B)1. The public hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, on December 11, 2012, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, California. The Board of Supervisors will consider adjusting the RIM fee schedule based on the Engineering News-Record Construction Cost Index, which would increase the fee 2.99 percent, from $4,300 per equivalent dwelling unit (EDU) to $4,429 per EDU. The proposed fee schedule, which includes fees for non-residential uses, can be viewed at the Department of Public Works or on the Countys website at http://www.co.calaveras.ca.us/cc/Departments/PublicWorks.aspx
