General Plan Implementation Update

At the Feb. 15 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Calaveras Planning Coalition provided the only public comment regarding an update to the General Plan implementation.

Highlights include:

-BOS speaks favorably of “dark sky ordinance” to limit light pollution and keep starry skies.

-County to revisit Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan this spring

-Public meetings to start soon on zoning updates

-BOS continues to defer most planning decisions until planning staff settled
