EBMUD DEIR Released for Public Comment, Public Hearings in January
On December 6, East Bay MUD released its Draft Revised Program Environmental Impact Report for the 2040 Water Supply Management Plan. In the report, the EBMUD staff recommends that the EBMUD Board drop Pardee Expansion from their 2040 plan. You can send in your written public comments supporting that staff recommendation to EBMUD through January 27, 2012. You can email your comments to WSMP.Comments@EBMUD.com. You can copy that email to the EBMUD Board of directors at:
dlinney@ebmud.com; akatz@ebmud.com; lesa801@aol.com; coleman@ebmud.com; fmellon@ebmud.com; wpatters@ebmud.com; kfoulkes@ebmud.com
If you want to send EBMUD a letter or a thank you card, you can mail your comments to EBMUD, WSMP Comments, ATTN: Tom Francis, 375 11th Street MS 407, Oakland, CA 94607.
If you want to make your comments to EBMUD live and in person, you can attend one of their public meetings at:
If you would like to review the DEIR, and you have a reasonably high speed internet connection, you can download the DEIR from the EBMUD website here. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click on the link for Water Supply Management Plans 2040….for some reason direct links don’t seem to work.
The DEIR file is very large (23 MB) due to one map, Figure 7-1. As a result, it can be hard to download from the EBMUD website. If you are having trouble downloading the DEIR from the EBMUD website, you can download the DEIR without Figure 7-1 from our website. (Click here).
If you can wait awhile for delivery, you can ask EBMUD and they will send you the DEIR on a CD. You can make your request by email to WSMP.Comments@EBMUD.com or you can call Tom Francis at 510-287-1303.
