EPFW is hosting 4 evenings of wonderful films this year.
Opening at the Black Bart Theater in Murphys on March 23, this year’s Festival will once again present a different slate of fabulous films at each of four different venues throughout the year.
March 23, Black Bart Theater, Murphys
April 13, Newsome-Harlow Winery, Murphys
September 28, Chatom Winery, Murphys
November 8, Columbia College, Columbia
The feature films opening the season at Black Bart will provide a breathtaking tour of some of the world’s most amazing places:
Desert Dreams is a multimedia tapestry of 182 species of the Sonoran Desert plants and animals in a seasonal chronology. Using no voice-over, this film combines natural sounds with flute and percussion vignettes.
Go Ganges! Follows two Emmy-nominated filmmakers as they attempt to travel the length of the planet’s most populated, holy and polluted river. Voted best documentary at the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival.
Snow Guardians tells the intense story of the life and work of Ski Patrol at several Rocky Mountain ski resorts as well as the Search and Rescue teams that respond to winter emergencies in the backcountry. The film captures their passion as they work in challenging and beautiful locations.
Tickets are $8 in advance via www.sierraflmfest.org or $10 at the door. See you at the movies!
