State of California General Plan Guidelines Draft Released, Workshops in November

On October 12, the Governors Office of Planning and Research (OPR) released a public draft of the update to General Plan Guidelines (GPG) for the State of California. The draft GPG is available for public review, questions, and comments. The public comment period ends December 18. “Pieces”—a Community Healing Art Project

This is a public art project endorsed by both Calaveras and Amador County Arts Councils, to help in the healing process for Butte Fire victims and their community. The public is asked to donate small pieces from the fire’s rubble. With them, Murphys artist, Robin Modlin will lead the creation of a mosaic wall or monument in honor of the fire victims.
