CAP Attends the Sierra Nevada Alliance Conference

CAP Board members and staff recently attended the annual conference of the Sierra Nevada Alliance in South Lake Tahoe.  Pictured are Board members John Trinkl, Mickey Williamson, Holly Mines, Penny Sarvis, and Calaveras Planning Coalition Facilitator Tom Infusino (not pictured, Bob Dean).

The conference is an inspiring reminder that we are one of 85 member organizations working to preserve the uniqueness and beauty of our region.  Keynote speaker was John Laird, Secretary for Natural Resources for the State of California.  Workshops addressed a variety of topics including forest and water issues, working in the current political climate, sustainable communities, and communication.

CAP continues to see its advocacy here in Calaveras County as one piece of a regional grassroots effort toward a vital future for our land, our citizens, our communities, and our economy.
