The Center for Sierra Nevada Conservation needs your help

WATERSHED WARRIORS WANTED!
Saturday, August 22

The Center for Sierra Nevada Conservation needs your help for a watershed restoration project this Saturday on the Amador Ranger District, Eldorado National Forest, near the Gold Note OHV area.  We will be decommissioning an illegal motorcycle trail that threatens a sensitive meadow.
Volunteers are needed to help collect and place nearby native materials for blocking and mulching the route, installing erosion controls, and collecting seeds for revegetating the route. Our objective is to repair and disguise the route to discourage future use and protect the meadow at its terminus.
Meet at 8:30 am at Raley’s on Placerville Drive, in the parking lot between Raley’s and the Fairground.  We will carpool to the site, and plan to work until about 3 pm, then return to Placerville.
CSNC will provide tools and snacks; please bring work gloves, water bottle and a lunch.  Wear sturdy shoes or boots and a hat.  We will take a creekside lunch break to beat the midday heat.
