Transit troubled after a decade of county control

The Calaveras County Short Range Transit Plan, prepared by the consulting firm Mobility Planners, found that since the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors made Calaveras Transit part of the public works department in 2004, costs and fares have increased while service and ridership have decreased.
